Annie Camp, cellist, received her B.M. and M.M. from The Juilliard School of Music, studying with such teachers and coaches as Leonard Rose, Lorne Munroe of the New York Philharmonic, Joseph Fuchs, as well as Martha Gerschefski of Georgia State University and Wolfgang Laufer of the Fine Arts String Quartet. Ms. Camp has performed in master classes for Janos Starker and Joel Krosnick of the Juilliard String Quartet, and while at Juilliard she performed two solo recitals at Lincoln Center. She was previously cellist for LYRA String Quartet, Dal Segno Piano Trio, Da Capo String Quartet, and the all string jazz ensemble Jazz a Cordes of New York City. Ms. Camp played with the Alabama Symphony for seven years and has performed with the Atlanta Symphony, Greenville Symphony, Atlanta Opera, and Atlanta Ballet. She has performed concertos with Lee University Chamber Orchestra, DeKalb Community Orchestra and Atlanta Chamber Orchestra.
Ms. Camp received her teaching certificate from the New York School for Strings and implemented her own original string program in the New York Public School System through Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. She is currently string orchestra teacher at Darlington School, teaches privately in the Marietta, Rome and Chattanooga areas, and is adjunct cello instructor at Lee University and director of the Community School for the Arts, Cleveland, Tennessee.

The Rome Symphony Orchestra's Music Director and Conductor Richard Prior has received the prestigious 2009-2010 Emory University Winship Faculty Award. This competitive award allows a senior faculty member to take a one-semester leave of absence to pursue a major research or creative project. Also a Pulitzer-nominated composer, Dr. Prior will be using the time to write both a clarinet concerto and his third symphony. The clarinet concerto will be performed and recorded by the National Symphony of Ukraine, the Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra in late summer 2010 and his third symphony will receive its premiere performance on March 3rd at Emory University. Dr. Prior will however, continue to conduct the RSO throughout the season as well as the Emory University and Youth symphonies.

The three classical concerts are performed at the Rome City Auditorium. 7:30 p.m. 601 Broad Street Historic Downtown Rome, Georgia
Maestro Richard Prior will engage the audience at each concert with descriptions and anecdotes regarding the pieces being performed and his thoughts on the selection of the music for the concert. Mr. Prior will speak at the beginning of each concert in the Auditorium from the podium.
The Picnic at Darlington will take place at the Huffman Center, Darlington Campus. 7:00 p.m.
