QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:

Q:  What is the cost of running the Rome Symphony.
A:  Our budget for 5 concerts for 2011-2012 is $138,000.00

Q:  How much does it cost for one concert?
A:  The cost of a performance ranges from $11,000 to $17,500 depending on the music and the number of musicians needed.

Q: I purchase concert tickets, why do you need my donation also?
A: Tickets sales for the concerts makes up only about 15% of the budget.  Over one-half of the RSO revenue comes from individual donations, corporate donations and special event fund-raisers.

Q: Does support of the RSO really benefit our community's "Quality of LIfe"?
A: The RSO is a significant part of Rome/Floyd County's thriving arts community.  By hiring local, professional musicians, we help maintain household incomes, create jobs, attract businesses, and provide teachers for our young people.  We offer residents and visitors to our community an Orchestra of the highest quality.

Q: Are there other ways I can help support the Rome Symphony Orchestra?
A: We offer advertising in our concert programs.  We also are a wonderful way to honor someone on their birthday, anniversary or other special event in their life.  We are always looking for volunteers to help at the concerts, with the Rome Symphony Auxiliary, or with any of our wonderful Special Events.

Rome Symphony Orchestra Annual Fund Donation

Did you know the Rome Symphony Orchestra is the oldest established orchestra in the state of Georgia?

Today the Rome Symphony is alive and thriving under the new leadership of our Music Director and Conductor, Dr. Richard Prior.

Thanks to the financial support of citizens and area businesses the RSO has flourished for over 87 years.

We sincerely hope that you will financially support  and partner with the Rome Symphony Orchestra to benefit all of our community.
