Symphonic Circus

In the event of rain, we will first try to wait it out and perform for you as soon as the rain stops. If we are not able to finish the concert on Friday night, we would invite everybody to Saturday's performance!

This groundbreaking (FREE!) concert will feature the Rome Symphony Orchestra performing Dvorak's epic New World Symphony accompanied by professional circus artists.

As we kick off our second hundred years, we will begin with a concert that will inspire the entire community; classical music lovers and non-classical music lovers alike. The RSO will perform outdoors in downtown Rome, accompanied by full scale circus acts, including a dramatic flying trapeze performance during the epic final movement.

This concert unlike any other will bring together people from all walks of life and will truly inspire every audience member through innovative and powerful programming. The circus performers are Daniel Gilbert and Lizzy Schwartz, two of the most prominent names in the circus world, and former directors of the flying trapeze program at the New England Center for Circus Arts.

Thanks to generous sponsorships by Harbin Clinic and Georgia Power, this event is free to the public on both nights. Circus-themed concessions will be available for purchase. Special VIP seating will be available to RSO season ticket subscribers.

EVERYONE must bring their own chairs for this outdoor event.
